Learning the hard way – so others don’t have to
Sara grew up in a quiet northern region, always drawn to helping others – often guiding friends with homework whenever they hit a roadblock. Yet when she first encountered German in primary school, it became her toughest hurdle, sparking the determination that would shape her future path.
“German was the first subject that truly challenged me.”
Eager not to let one challenging subject hold her back, Sara decided to study two languages at university. Her passion for guiding people merged seamlessly with a newfound love of linguistic intricacies, setting her on a path to help others overcome the same obstacles she once grappled with herself.
Transforming challenges into opportunities
While delving deeper into grammar studies at the master’s level, Sara discovered intriguing similarities between certain language structures. By identifying common stumbling blocks – and the subtle ways to navigate them – she developed innovative techniques to help students push past their own uncertainties.
Over time, her early struggles evolved into empathy-driven expertise. Working first in language schools, then in a secondary school setting, she refined an approach that balances patience with practical skill-building. Today, she applies those same methods to empower learners, proving that no obstacle is insurmountable.
A dynamic teaching style and philosophy
Sara tailors every lesson to her students’ personal goals – some focus on conversational skills, while others dive into reading or writing. She’s unafraid to step beyond textbooks, using real-world applications and hands-on exercises to keep learners engaged. Above all, she aims to create a relaxed environment where students feel motivated to experiment with new concepts.

“Repetition is the mother of learning – and you’re never too old for a new language.”
Whether they’re 18 or 65, she champions the idea that practice – and plenty of it – is key to success. Drawing on her own journey, she reassures students that age, background, or prior setbacks never have to be barriers.
Coordinating a seamless learning experience
Beyond her role as a teacher, Sara is a dedicated learning coordinator for German-speaking students at Let’s Learn, guiding people from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond. She helps them determine whether one-to-one lessons, group courses, or immersive trips best fit their needs, assessing language levels and matching them with suitable groups and teachers.
Her responsibilities range from addressing prospective learners’ questions to organising class schedules and providing ongoing support. By listening closely to individual goals, Sara ensures that everyone finds a clear path – staying connected and confident throughout their studies.

Hobbies that spark inspiration
Sara’s fascination with languages continues after hours, as she studies Spanish for fun and picks up local phrases whenever she travels. Outside of linguistic pursuits, she regularly takes her quad for rides in the countryside and nurtures a late-blooming passion for the piano – an instrument she began learning at age 30, proving it’s never too late for a new skill.
“I was never too old to learn piano at 30 – there’s always time to chase new passions!”

These personal interests feed back into her teaching philosophy, reminding her that curiosity and perseverance can open doors to worlds of possibility. For Sara, the stumbling blocks she once faced have become stepping stones, guiding her toward a lifelong commitment to nurturing growth – no matter the challenge.
From overcoming tough beginnings in the classroom to coordinating successful learning programmes, Sara’s story underscores the idea that the journey never truly ends – and that every setback can eventually serve as a source of strength.
